We’re Emma and Lucas, childhood friends and the founders of PulsBand.
PulsBand wasn’t born in a meeting room — it started with two completely different wake-up struggles.
Emma was working rotating shifts at a busy emergency clinic in Chicago. After 12-hour nights on her feet, she would finally fall into bed at sunrise… only to be jolted awake again by phone alarms, slamming doors, and the chaos of the city.
Her body was exhausted, but mornings still felt like a shock.
Lucas lived the opposite problem. Born with partial hearing loss, alarms had failed him his entire life. Traditional clocks, phone alarms, smartwatches — nothing was reliable. He’d sleep through everything, constantly stressed about oversleeping and relying on others to wake him.
One evening, on a long call between exhaustion and frustration, we realized something simple but powerful:
Waking up shouldn’t feel like a battle. For anyone.
Weeks later, back home, we sat at a kitchen table armed with notebooks, caffeine, and stubborn determination.
What if waking up could be silent… natural… and strong enough for heavy sleepers?
What if it didn’t shock your body awake?
What if it worked for people who can’t hear at all?
We sketched. We argued. We tested vibration motors, studied sleep cycles, talked to sleep experts, and spent months building prototypes by hand.
And then it happened — the first version of what would become PulsBand:
A silent, powerful vibration alarm designed to wake you without noise, without radiation waves from phones, and without the body shock of traditional alarms.
In early 2024, we launched our very first PulsBand.
Since then, every message, every review, every story from people who finally wake up without stress — from parents, students, nurses, heavy sleepers, and the hard-of-hearing — has helped us improve it: stronger, smarter, longer battery life, and perfectly tuned to the way real people sleep.
For us, PulsBand is more than a product.
It’s a mission to give everyone — no matter their sleep struggles — a calm, controlled, empowering start to the day.
